Selection of Acid, Alkali and Corrosion Resistant Hose Materials

Problems encountered when using acid and alkali resistant chemical hoses:

The following problems may exist: swelling, puncture and joint dislodgement. However, no matter what the damage is, the damaged area must be cut off during maintenance, and then the joints must be tightened for maintenance. The acid and alkali resistant chemical hose joint consists of a mandrel and a jacket.

When using acid and alkali resistant chemical hose, attention should be paid to the maintenance of the hose:

  1. The inner layer of acid and alkali resistant and corrosion resistant hose

The shaft is usually a form of pull-back, the main purpose of which is to increase the firm connection between the shaft and the hose. After the mandrel barb is complete, the barb tip must be blunted. Otherwise, the top barb will penetrate the lining material of the acid and alkali resistant chemical hose. Even if the acid and alkali resistant chemical hose joint is firm, if the inner layer is damaged, high-pressure water will leak from the mouth.

  1. Selection of acid, alkali and corrosion resistant hose materials

Shafts and jackets must be of different materials. Due to its different strength and plastic deformation, the strength of the outer sheath should be less than that of the mandrel. Its purpose is to make the outer layer easier to deform than the mandrel, increase the firmness and reliability of the buckle, and consider the anti-corrosion performance requirements of the mandrel.

  1. Master the pressure of chemical hoses

Before pressing, it is necessary to make a mandrel slightly thinner than the inner bore of the mandrel. When pressing, apply a little oil to the mandrel, insert it into the inner hole of the mandrel, and retract the mandrel properly. In this way, the phenomenon that the diameter of the inner hole of the mandrel is reduced or even blocked due to the excessive pressure path of the retaining ring can be avoided, so as to ensure that the joint is fastened and does not fall off.

At present, acid-base hoses have been widely used in various industries. The working conditions of acid-base hoses are relatively poor and are easily overlooked. Therefore, attention must be paid to selection, use, maintenance and repair.
